Our winter hours begin November 12 and run through May 29. Regular winter hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, however, the museum can be opened upon request during the winter.

World War I in 3D
We have digitized some stereo images from World War I and made them available as both regular images and simulated 3D images. Each of the images is accompanied by a full description of the scene or event.
Summer Hours
The museum is open for Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017 and then the summer hours are in effect from May 30th to November 11th.

New Website Layout
We have completed our new website layout and are now adding more content. We have started adding more uniforms and helmets, but the biggest changes are coming to our POW content. Comments about our website are always welcome.

We have started a new section of the web site currently titled “Life After Captivity”.
Online Books
We have added a new section containing books about POWs and prisons. Our first two books are available as PDF image files.
Museum Honored On Race Car
The Maine Military Museum has been honored with a hood and fender. Look for it at the races!
Memorial Day Dedication
The museum will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2016 and will dedicate the new Vietnam War in-country section of the museum. All veterans and non-veterans are welcome to attend.
