The framed print on the left is an original 1906 print of the USS Maine. The bronze plaque on the right was cast in 1913 from original pieces of metal taken off the USS Maine when she was taken out of the harbor in Havana into deep water and sunk. There were only 1000 castings of which fewer than 50 are known to exist today.
